When they noticed the garbage in the stadium, SAAP chairman PR Mohan expressed ire over police officials for permitting the night food court in the stadium. He condemned the police for granting permission to use the ground for night bazaars. “When people start roaming around food courts till 3 am when will they get up? Is it our culture?” he questioned

He asked the municipal commissioner not to allow such activities in the stadium. Mayor Koneru Sridhar said that as the stadium belongs to the municipal corporation and before taking any decision it should be discussed in council.

“The council however was not informed about the night food court and it is not correct to set up night food courts in a sports stadium without prior permission,” he said. It is said that several sports persons and morning walkers also complained about the unhygienic condition and noticed liquor bottles at the stadium premises after permitting the night food court.
