400 officials to be trained for Swachh Hyderabad
GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar informed that 400 officers from various wings like sanitation, health, engineering, UCD and town planning will be trained on May 6 for the Swachh Hyderabad campaign. The training will be inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

The Commissioner stated that the ‘Swachh Hyderabad’, which is scheduled to be held from May 16 to 20, will witness the participation of ministers, senior officials of the government and celebrities. He directed the deputy commissioners to inspect their jurisdictions and furnish proposals to take up the works.
He also instructed the officials to deploy 100 JCBs for lifting of garbage, debris, silt, etc., during the programme. The GHMC is also setting control rooms at zonal and head office and is providing special teams for the programme.
