Hyderabad: World renowned swimming program, AUSTSWIM (Australia’s national organisation for teaching swimming and water safety) was launched on Thursday by Oakridge International School in partnership with Swimming Matters, a leading international swimming institute in India, at their campus in Gachibowli. This program focuses on creating awareness on water safety among children, apart from creating a fun environment.
Gustav Gropp, Principal of Oakridge International School underscored that this swimming program will help students get the best of international training through a structured format, consistent teaching and quarterly certification from AUSTSWIM. He further added that the program incorporates a no-compromise approach towards water safety by educating all stakeholders including children, parents and the school staff.
Hakimuddin Habibulla, the founder of Swimming Matters and Ceri Weeks, leading 'AUSTSWIM' swim teacher from Australia will train the students. The program for students will begin in June, 2015 and will be available at Oakridge International Schools in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Vizag.
