Tom Clancy's massively multiplayer online game is also massively anticipated by gamers worldwide since its announcement in Ubisoft's E3 press conference back in 2013. Tom Clancy's The Division is set in an open world survival environment inspired by Operation Dark Winter and Directive 51, real-world events wherein United States operatives take measure in the event of a biological outbreak. The Division is set in New York City three weeks after a Black Friday manmade pandemic plunges the country in utter chaos and despair. The United States Government invokes the Presidential Directive 51 which activates a unit of top secret, self supporting tactical agents known as the Strategic Homeland Division, or Division for short. These highly trained sleeper agents work independent of command, and are given direct authority to act as they see fit in order to prevent society from ultimately crashing.

French developer Ubisoft has employed Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Massive, Ubisoft Reflections alongside Tom Clancy's Red Storm Entertainment to create the massive open world environment of The Division's third person shooter game. Players are challenged to battle out the harsh conditions of the post apocalyptic devastation of New York with their team against other factions and AIs. Powered by Snowdrop Engine designed for eight gen consoles, the post-apocalyptic open world of The Division is definitely worth the wait.
