As part of the initiative, ten surgeries including eight total hip replacements and two knee replacements were performed so far in the last two months. In normal circumstances each such surgery would cost anywhere between Rs 1.8-3 lakh. A key partner in this endeavour has been Global Health Care systems, the distributors of Johnson & Johnson, represented by Mohan Reddy. He ensures availability of high quality implants to such needy patients at the most reasonable price.
