Though the time frame did not allow them to take extensive aalapana or intricacy in gamakas or swarakalpana, the performance was enough to the audience devotional lyrics sans embellishment. Seshachary’s higher timbre was seconded by Raghavachary’s melodious voice to give an overall rich experience.

The Kuchipudi dance performance by eminent classical dancer Deepika Reddy and her students was thematic in nature. Titled ‘Telangana Vaibhavam’, the performance showcased the historic tourist destinations, important pilgrim centres and renowned poets of Telangana besides depicting the blend of various cultures in Hyderabad over the centuries.

With the concept and choreography by Deepika, script by poet Vadepalli Krishna and music composed by SV Sastry, the ballet was eye-catching. Also, the sites of Hyderabad, Charminar and Falaknuma were shown in charming tableaux. The composer of Bhadrachalam and Bhagmati-Qutb Shah, Ramadasu danced across the stage encompassing cultural round up of the State and its folk jathras. The formation where Deepika stood as Buddha statue with the students simulating the Hussainsagar was well composed.
