Isthriwala, an online laundry service started by a group of seven engineering students, brings the washerman to your doorstep with just a click

Are you the one who is busy all week and has no time to deal with your clothes? Are you way too lazy to even go and give your clothes for laundry? Then here is good news for people like you. A group of seven second-year engineering students from Vijayawada have designed a unique application that can not only make laundry easy for you but will also provide employement opportunities for several washermen.

The website for laundry service called www.isthriwala.com functions exactly like an online shopping website and charges customers only after delivery of the finished product. All you need to do is login using the website Isthriwala or use the mobile application for the service and select the details that specify the kind of service you may need. After you’ve made your choice and entered your requirements, you will have the service boy at your doorstep to pick-up the clothes to be laundered.

After the laundry work is done at their workshop, the boy would deliver it back to you and collect money after the service. Ask Sriram Suravarapu, CEO of Isthriwala, how he and his friends manage academics and the venture simultaneously, he says, “Our managerial skills remain a mystery to us. But I think since all the seven of us have the same goals, managing both studies and academics has never been problem.

According to me, marks are not accurate indicators of the capabilities of a student; it is all about how well those concepts can be applied in real time applications. With Istriwala, we have been able to apply our knowledge for practical purposes. We make sure that we listen to the lectures in college. All we need is one round of revision before the exams.”

But this is not all. “Apart from Isthriwala, we have many other new ideas that we are working on and will bring them out very soon. We started the online laundry service as we thought it would be very helpful to both potential customers and washermen looking for work. This hasn’t been implemented before.

Laundry work can kill their much needed recreation time.” “We are very also adding many new features to the website and are looking to provide services in places like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata,” says Sri Ram.

“Our parents have been very supportive throughout our project. Our team has several talented people. We have software developers, media professionals, web developers, app developers, photographers, editors, marketers and analysts. Most of the resources were easily made available by my team members,” he says.

Customer satisfaction is one thing the team is very concerned about. It wants to maintain the best quality and time factor for its customers. “The response to our website has been really very good. We are happy to see our customers satisfied with our services. This initiation has surely given us a good experience to launch other projects and we have learned a lot after stepping into the market,” he says.
