The Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi, has permitted the Methodist College of Engineering Technology (MCET), Abids, to conduct a training programme for teachers of polytechnic and engineering colleges on ‘Internet and Digital Convergence in India’ from June 10 to June 14.

Hyderabad: The Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi, has permitted the Methodist College of Engineering Technology (MCET), Abids, to conduct a training programme for teachers of polytechnic and engineering colleges on ‘Internet and Digital Convergence in India’ from June 10 to June 14.


MCET Principal Giridhar Akula said on Monday that during the programme the contributions of Indian engineers in S&T, wireless technology and revolutionary changes in the electronic and computer field will be discussed and debated by professors of IIIT, Osmania University and JNTU.


The professors and experts will also highlight topics like 4G and 5G, multimedia, how various business houses are utilising the computer and internet for divergence and the impact of internet and digital technology on the country’s economy. According to Krishna Rao, Secretary of MCET, the programme will benefit the faculty. He said the MCET faculty will be actively involved in organising the five-day programme.
