23 huts demolished

The hut dwellers at Moosarambagh were in a shock as GHMC officials descended at the slum and demolished the huts. Kotaiah, a settler, said that the corporation did not send a notice and swooped down on Thursday. He added that they were staying at the place for the past 30 years.

Within a span of 10 days, the GHMC demolished the huts twice. Another settler, Sravan Kumar, said, “We approached the collector and were promised that demolitions would not be taken up but this has come as a shock to us. We have nowhere to go.”
