This congregation is spread across 53 countries and 15 cities in India. On this occasion Rev Thumma Bala, Archbishop of Hyderabad, talked about the founder of Daughters of St Paul. This was followed by songs, prayers and readings from the Bible. Talking about the origin of the name of the congregation it was taken from the person’s name St Paul who was the first journalist to write about Jesus.

“We are in Hyderabad for 39 years and we are known as media sisters. Our congregation is the only congregation which is committed to nourish minds and hearts of the people. There are congregations who run schools and orphanages but our purpose is to spread messages which are not confined to particular religion or group. We work like the media.

There are around five to six sisters in every congregation. We also have two young sisters who go around to different places to spread messages,” says Sr Claudette Miranda. Messages and values are spread to the people in form of books and magazines.

“These books and magazines are available in our Pauline Book and Media Centre in Secunderabad. Along with these books we also sell DVDs, bookmarks etc. These books are collected when international book fairs are conducted. Some of the books are published by our congregation which is usually written by priests, sisters and bishops,” informed Sr Rosaria Lobo.
