Demand for toilets in school
The Association for Promoting Social Action (APSA ) conducted Balala Sadassu, a child right meeting at Namalagundu on Saturday, where more than 150 boys and girls in the age group of 8 to 14 participated from Hamali Basthi, Erukala Basthi, Chinta Bavi, Ambedkar Nagar, Mondibanda Nagar, Lalapet, Sai Nagar.
The Association for Promoting Social Action (APSA ) conducted Balala Sadassu, a child right meeting at Namalagundu on Saturday, where more than 150 boys and girls in the age group of 8 to 14 participated from Hamali Basthi, Erukala Basthi, Chinta Bavi, Ambedkar Nagar, Mondibanda Nagar, Lalapet, Sai Nagar.
The representation by the kids, were given to the government authorities. They demanded the provision of toilets in school; provision of alternate houses to people living near graveyards as they inhale the smoke emanating from burnt dead bodies, provision of bore well for drinking water and other basic amenities.
The programme was attended by Surya Kumari, project officer, GHMC and other officials from water works department, police department and Tulasi Bai, co-coordinator of APSA.
