The exhibition offers variety. If Srikanth Dhunde’s works display boldness, energy and aggression, K Sridhar Rao is an artist who has the time and his work evokes a sense of meditative process. Upcoming artist V Ramakrishna’s cityscape brings freshness to the art scene.
An original language seems to emerge from his strokes. Avani Rao Gandra has been working on abstracts for some time now. There is a rhythm and a conscious structure in her work. What makes the exhibition stand out is the wide array of works on display. In several works the attitude and nature of the artist comes forth.
The aggression of Srikanth Dhunde’s work is supplemented by the smooth texture of Vijay Dhore’s work. The painstakingly done work of Sridhar Rao in which eight layers have been painted stands testimony to the person’s personality. “The whole process is akin to meditation,” says Avani Rao Gandra.
She adds, “There is so much talent in Hyderabad. Pavan Kumar and Ramakrishna are two young artists to watch out for.” There is enough flame, flicker and lots of flash. The show is on till July 10 at the Iconart Gallery.
