Responding to the coverage, dog squads were pressed into service on Tuesday.Chief Veterinary Officer Venkateshwara Reddy in a statement said, “The squad has already caught 11 stray dogs in Circle-12 which comes under the West Zone in GHMC limits. Out of the 11, 9 were previously sterilised.”

“The unsterilised dogs will be subjected to animal birth control-cum-anti rabies programme and would be released back in the same locality from where they were caught. The dogs will be vaccinated and will be released accordingly,” he added.
