VMC school gets digital classroom, thanks to police. Outgoing City Police Commissioner AB Venkateswara Rao inaugurated a digital classroom at Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Municipal High School for Girls at Krishnalanka in the city on Tuesday.

Outgoing City Police Commissioner AB Venkateswara Rao inaugurated a digital classroom at Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Municipal High School for Girls at Krishnalanka in the city on Tuesday. It is the first municipal high school in the State to have a state-of-the-art digital classroom which enables students to learn lessons with the help of audio visual teaching aids.

The Vijayawada Police Commissionerate which adopted the municipal high school, has developed it on all fronts. The outgoing City Police Commissioner mobilised donations from philanthropists for the development of the school. Basic amenities were created at the school with the donations.

The school now has good infrastructure, including a library and a reading room. Teachers were specially appointed to teach music and dance to the girls in the school. The renovation of the school building was also taken up with the help of School of Planning and Architecture.

Focus was also laid on development of the playground and greenery. MP Kesineni Srinivas and MLA Gadde Rammohan who were present on the occasion, lauded the efforts of Venkateswara Rao in developing the VMC school as an ideal educational institution.
