30th Sailing championship from July 15
Water sports enthusiasts from the city, fresh from the Monson Regatta, will be treated to the 30th Laser Sailing Championship which will be held at the Hussainsagar Lake from July 15 to 19. The event is being organised by the EME Sailing Association as part of the Hyderabad Sailing Week.

Sailors from across the country are already in the city as part of the National Level Coaching Camp conducted by chief coach Rajesh Chaudhary. About 150 sailors from about 25 affiliated clubs from across the country are expected to participate in the championship this season. The competition will witness a tough fight between medal contenders Sharif Khan, Gajender, Rout and Sachin Singha.
Meanwhile, 110 participants including sailors of NCC Telangana, Pune, Bhopal, Kerala, Bengaluru and Mumbai are participating in the first National Level Sailing Coaching Camp which concludes on Saturday.
