An online crowd sourcing platform that connects people with project ideas and those who can sponsor them was launched by the Muslim Professionals Network (MPN) at its Iftar party. “The platform www.iDoHelp.org aims to dramatically help impactful projects by connecting credible charities with successful and accomplished donors," said Javed Sikader, president, Muslim Professionals Network.

"iDoHelp.org will serve as a conduit between seekers and donors. Our focus is on education, healthcare, natural calamities and humanitarian crisis," he added. The network also has a genie helpline that helps people connect with the right organisations or benefit from available government schemes.

People can call the helpline number 888-552-4357 where they will be offered educational assistance, employment guidance or even medical help.“For instance if someone needs acute medical attention for a serious ailment but cannot afford it, we redirect them to the organisation(s) that can. Or just apprise them on the relevant schemes made available by the government for such situations," Javed explained.

MPN as an umbrella body to several charitable and social works, bring professionals in IT multi-national companies, doctors, lawyers and advocates on a common platform to exchange ideas, motivating them to collectively work in one's best capacity to pay back to the society. The network aims to connect the Old City to Hitec City in an attempt to inspire the young from the lower-strata to pursue their dreams and be able to work in MNCs someday.
