Navratilova, Sania take centrestage
To some fortunately blessed young tennis aspirants, all roads led to the Sania Mirza Tennis Academy (SMTA) in Hyderabad for the entire Wednesday. It was a fairytale that was getting a realistic touch when they were on the court alongside the biggest name in women tennis, Dame Martina Navratilova and the reigning Numero Uno in women doubles, Sania Mirza.
To some fortunately blessed young tennis aspirants, all roads led to the Sania Mirza Tennis Academy (SMTA) in Hyderabad for the entire Wednesday. It was a fairytale that was getting a realistic touch when they were on the court alongside the biggest name in women tennis, Dame Martina Navratilova and the reigning Numero Uno in women doubles, Sania Mirza.
The youngsters were awe-struck when the two role models played against them, in what was certainly their most memorable day. Although not getting any younger, Navratilova was at her athletic best while giving the children a run for their money with her remarkable agility.
