Hastashilpi Artisans and Weavers Welfare Association is organising a six day \'Silk India Expo’ at Shilpakala Vedika. The expo was inaugurated by Tollywood actress Jyotii Sethi and socialite Bina Mehta. It will feature pure silk varieties including hand block print sarees, suits and bed covers, designer dress materials, laces, kurtis, handwoven matka and Assam Muga fabrics, Apoorva Silk sarees, Baluchari, Dhaka Masli, Gicha, boutique sarees and many more.

The 70-odd stalls are laden with Kantha, zordoshi, Lucknow chikan work, Bhagalpur suits, Banarasi, reshmi, printed silk sarees, Maheswari, Chanderi silk sarees and suits and Kota, mulberry silk with temple border, Banaras Jamdani, Mysore silk, crepe and georgette silk, chiffon and tassar silk and suits.
