Participating in the event, All India Radio Vijayawada Station director M Krishna Kumari said, ``Teaching is a noble profession. It provides an opportunity to teachers to disseminate knowledge for enlightenment of society.” “Learning is a continuous process. There is always scope to learn more.


Hence, the teachers in the making need to stay abreast of current affairs and latest teaching methods, which enables them to discharge their primary duty of imparting knowledge among students more efficiently,’’ she said. SKPVV Hindu High Schools Committee general secretary Gopisetty Mallaiah, college president KL Narayana Rao and others were present. The event was a low-key affair due to the seven-day national mourning for former President APJ Abdul Kalam.
