As part of its efforts towards eco-friendly Diwali, the Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) is displaying sky balloons at Indira Gandhi Statue at Necklace Road, scrolling on electronic media and banners at traffic junctions, railway stations, bus stands and schools about the impact of fire crackers on the environment and subsequent noise pollution caused during the festival.

As part of its efforts towards eco-friendly Diwali, the Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) is displaying sky balloons at Indira Gandhi Statue at Necklace Road, scrolling on electronic media and banners at traffic junctions, railway stations, bus stands and schools about the impact of fire crackers on the environment and subsequent noise pollution caused during the festival.

The department has released a poster ahead of the festival highlighting the damaging effects of fire crackers and harmful gases released through the same. In addition, as per CPCB directions, TSPCB monitored the ambient air quality before Diwali (on November 5). The department will do the same during the festival on November 11 to the impact of air and noise pollution.
