VH warns CM against Owaisis
Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao urged the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to be watchful with Owaisi brothers as they were known as the men of shifting loyalties. Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here on Thursday, VHR said he had warned the erstwhile Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy against promoting the Owaisis.
Hyderabad: Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao urged the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to be watchful with Owaisi brothers as they were known as the men of shifting loyalties. Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here on Thursday, VHR said he had warned the erstwhile Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy against promoting the Owaisis.
However, the former Chief Minister did not listen to him and the consequences are now being faced by the Congress party. Rao warned that the Chief Minister and his son K T Rama Rao would meet the same fate that of the Congress leaders someday if they continue to patronise the Owaisis. Rao said neither of the brothers was like their father late Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, who used to give due respect to everyone.
He said the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi visited MIM headquarters Darussalam as she was impressed with the respects paid by Salahuddin Owaisi. Further, he said Darussalam was a public property and was given to MIM by erstwhile Congress government.
He slammed the Owaisi brothers for using derogatory language against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. He also advised both the MIM and BJP to take a clear stand on beef.
