Keep Valentine's Day low key, demands Hindu Janajagruti Samiti
The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti submitted a memorandum to the Bharathi Hollekeri, Joint Collector Hyderabad, on Monday urging the government to stop malpractices occurring under the pretext of Valentine\'s Day.The organisation urged to promote the celebration of \'Parent\'s Day\' on the day at schools and colleges in twin cities.

Chandra Moger of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti requested the Joint Collector to take actions like sending special police teams in the surrounding areas of the educational institutions to apprehend the youth involved in “malpractices”, taking action against the young indulging in rash driving and also keep a check on “inappropriate deeds” carried out on Valentine's Day.
“The Education Officers should conduct the meetings of principals in colleges about the harm caused due to the celebration of Valentine's Day,” said Chandra Moger, who has advised to organise lectures for narrating the information of Bharatiya culture and its values. “A set of similar orders, in writing, should also be issued to all educational institutions by the concerned departmental heads for their strict compliance,” he said.
