Hyderabad: The seven-day Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavam organised by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) at NTR stadium to enable the devotees to have a glimpse of the Lord Sri Venkateswara concluded on Friday. Speaking to the media during the concluding event, the TTD Joint Executive Officer (JEO), Bhaskar said lakhs of devotees have turned up for the festival from all across Telangana and had the darshan of the Lord.

The JEO said that entire festival matched with the pomp of the Lord at Tirumala hill as all the sevas were performed exactly like those of Tirumala. All special sevas were performed every day from 6 am to 10 pm, including Suprabhatam, Abhishekam, Tiruppavada, Srinivasa Kalyanam, Pushpayagam, Ekanta Seva and many other services as performed at Tirumala, he explained.

The Vaibhavotsavam was organised here to provide the darshan of the Lord to the devotees who cannot come to Tirupati. Another attraction at the seven-day festival was- several special pujas were offered to the Lord, which the common man could not see on other occasions. The festival has received overwhelming appreciation from the devotees as it would be impossible for them to see all the pujas in Tirumala due to a long waiting queue, the JEO said.

The TTD was planning to organize such events in important towns and cities of Andhra Pradesh and other states, he added. Speaking on the occasion, BJP Floor Leader K Laxman urged the TTD to organize the event every year in Hyderabad at the NTR stadium, which falls under his Assembly constituency.

He thanked the TTD authorities, its employees and others who contributed to the grand success the holy event. Many eminent personalities, including the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Governor E S L Narsimhan, Union ministers M Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya, J P Nadda, Telangana and AP cabinet members and the officials of the both Telugu states visited the venue and obtained the Lord’s blessings.
