Praja Udyama Karulu Welfare Society wants justice for Telangana fighters

The members of the Praja Udyama Karulu Welfare Society observed a protest at Dharna Chowk on Tuesday demanding rights and justice to their members who fought for Telangana formation cause. Members recounted the struggle and sacrifices made for achieving Telangana State beginning in 1952.

Gade Innaiagh, founder member of the Society said, “We identified over 25,000 Telangana freedom fighters in the 10 districts by conducting a tour for three months and camping at 80 places by recording their through 6,000 video clippings. Since 1996, upto 3,500 people police and court cases are pending and on 1 lakh people summons are issued.

“We demand the Government to exonerate and lift the cases as they fought for Tealngana state,” he added. There are 1,250 people who sacrificed their life for the cause, of which 470 people were given financial benefits. “The remaining are still suffereing and waiting for help,” said Gade Innaiagh. The participants in the dhrana included K Nagaprasad Goud, Srishail Reddy Panjagula, Sri Hari, Peddi Reddy, Vikram and other members of the society.
