Aquascaping is a craft of arranging aquatic plants, rocks, stones and cave work in an aesthetically pleasing manner within an aquarium—in effect, gardening under water. The primary aim of aquascaping is to create an artful underwater landscape.

The art is becoming an inspiration for many works of both underwater locations and natural scenes, such as mountains, jungles, deserts, waterfalls and others.

“The experience was wonderful. I never knew how aquascaping is developed for aquariums. Syed Shah made it very simple for all of us,” said Naveen a participant, who added, “It will be my new hobby now.”

“Talking to kids was a tender attachment. Kids and fish have a good bonding,” said organiser, Syed Shah, who has over 15 years of experience and a gallery at Masab Tank.

“The range of Aquascaping for two feet tall aquariums starts at Rs 20,000 and goes upwards depends on the size and various other things that go into it,” Shah said.

Those who wish to attend the same may book their tickets free of cost on www.hyderabadartsfestival.com or phone: 040 - 64646262 or 66335533.
