Chairman of HRC R Surender Reddy said, “As part of corporate social responsibility we will be providing affordable eye care treatment to the needy through HRC charitable trust eye care hospital and accordingly entered into an understanding with 'Shivananda Rehabilitation' at Kukatpally.
The hospital will provide facilities for both in-patients and out-patients that will be constructed in three phases with the first phase including conventional ophthalmology and phaco surgery, second phase having vitreo retinal surgery using lasers and the third phase consisting Pediatric Ophthalmology M/s Shivananda Rehabilitation has been given 7,500 sq ft on the second floor of their Ramdevrao hospital for setting up the hospital that would be managed by Hyderabad Race Club.
HRC Charitable Trust Eye Care Hospital is scheduled to be functional from September 2016 for the benefit of the poor and needy. "We have earmarked Rs 3 crore for taking up various development programmes like this one for the poor and weaker section of the society, he added.
Answering about the relocation of existing HRC club at Malakpet to outskirts of the city as proposed by the Telangana Govt Reddy said, “We have no further information on this issue from government. However if the government can provide us 250 acres of suitable land in close proximity to the city connected by road and rail transport,
we are ready to transfer 130 acres of prime land in the heart of the city with all buildings, subject to an amicable solution and allow the club to develop a world class racing arena with infrastructure facilities by giving a tax holiday for five years.”
"We are here to cooperate with government provided it considers compassionately solving our major problem too," he added.
