Kris Gethin Gyms started an initiative titled ‘Project Mahaveer’, at Banjara Hills on Friday with an aim to provide better facilities to the underprivileged sportspersons and athletes. On this occasion, Satish Paryada, director, Kris Gethin Gyms presented the honorary membership to Chief badminton coach Pullela Gopichand.

“As a sports person, I am very particular about workout and fitness. Fitness is important for everyone and one should use grounds and gyms to stay fit. In future, we may face many problems because of the changing lifestyle and habits. When it comes to children fitness it’s our (parent’s) responsibility to indulge them in different activities to make them fit at a younger age. Kris Gethin Gyms started a good program to help the underprivileged athletes to improve their strength,” says Pullela Gopichand.

Whereas Satish Paryada says, “Gopichand made us proud by winning two medals in 2012 and 2016 Olympics. He is the inspiration for many people in India. Kris Gethin Gyms always encourages sports persons, by giving them special access in Hyderabad. At present, we have three branches in city.

‘Project Mahaveer’ is a non-commercial initiative. By this new initiative, we are providing support to less privileged and upcoming sportspersons and providing them, with better resources to achieve their sports dreams. Compared to other countries we are far behind in sports and health issues.”
