Alliance Francaise, Hyderabad organised a unique programme titled ‘We Play’ of David Walters from France, who is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. David Walters has performed in many countries like United States, South Africa, India, South Korea, Colombia and Cuba.

He has a fascination to record and photograph his subjects. In this programme, one could see screenings of many different subjects in the backdrop as David was singing in gay abandon.

He went on to sing his songs ‘Gimme music’ featuring Elliott Walters, ‘Go Home’ featuring Pierre Sibille, ‘No Jazz’ and ‘Downbeat’.

David also laid his hands on the guitar and rhythm pads with ease and could bring out some heart touching musical notes and sounds. According to David, music is only a pretext to meet people and experience different cultures.

Nagaraju from Hyderabad played beautiful music on the flute complementing the very fine voice of the artist and Sindhuja, Kuchipudi dancer sang some corresponding similar tunes in the Telugu language.

There was a different collaboration of languages, music styles and rhythms. All this process on stage gave a new meaning to collaborations and made it a very niche event.
