Stipend jump by 50% at IIT-Madras

“The median and maximum stipend offered this year grew by over 50 per cent, more than the corresponding figures of the previous year.
Summer internship of eight weeks will be starting from mid-may till mid-July 2017, which students undertook as part of the MBA curriculum. The highest stipend stood at Rs 1,20,000 for the period,” as per a source from IIT Madras.
The list of leading global companies that visited the department and offered summer internships include- Avalon Consulting, Yes Bank, CRISIL, Siemens, Titan, Ford, IBM, Wipro, Dell, Tiger Analytics, Amazon and Apollo Hospitals representing industrial domains such as business consulting, banking, financial services, manufacturing, IT, analytics, e-commerce and healthcare.
“Department of Management Studies at IIT Madras constantly pursues long standing relationship with the industry through several forums such as industrial consulting,
MBA invitational lecture series, Samanvay business fest and executive education programs,” according to Prof P Krishna Prasanna and Prof Saji Mathew, Placement Coordinators, IIT Madras.
