A specialised nationwide training programme for para-athletes was launched by Aditya Mehta Foundation in the city on Friday.

The training programme will provide coaching to para athletes in Wheel Chair Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Shooting and Fencing, as well as Standing Lawn Tennis, Badminton and Cycling.

AMF also donated cycles to Jyotirimai from Sarah’s Covenant Home, Siva Prasad and Abhishek; Rs 4 lakh to Anand Kumar, Mark Dharmai, Prem Ale, Manoj Sarkar, Suresh Karki, Sukanth Kadam, who are World Para-Badminton Champions; specialised wheelchair to Balachandar, a wheelchair tennis champion; an electronic hand worth to Rama Chandra and a prosthetic limb to Jitendra.
