Hyderabad, a city that’s been home to several Sufi saints, will pay tribute to legendary 13th century Sufi poet Hazrath Amir Khusrau Chisti (RH).

This four day Sufi Festival has got a very unique feature which is the Egyptian ‘Al Tanoura’ Sufi Whirling Dervishes who are specially flown in from Egypt to perform at the music festival.

On this occasion, Mohammed Hamid Ansari Hon’ble Minister of India and K Chandrashekar Rao Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana State have sent in their greetings and good wishes for the grand success of Sufi Festival, said Maulana Muzaffar Ali Soofi Chisti.

The Four days of fourth Annual International Sufi festival will be a cultural and musical event featuring, Egyptian Sufi whirling dervishes, Sufi musical concert (Sufiyana Kalam or Poetry in Hindavi/Hindi and Persian) at different venues.

The programme on the first day is called Rang-e-Khusrau which will be held at Chowmahalla Palace, Khilwath Near Charminar, on Saturday, November 12 at 6pm. The Rang-e-Khusrau will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali.

Among the guests of honor will be Ismail Ali Khan Chairman TSREC, Anurag Sharma IPS Director General of Police, Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri MLA, Anjani Kumar Addl DGP Law and Order and B Venkatesham IAS secretary.

On the second day a programme called ‘Bahar-e-Khusrau’ will be held at Central Lawns, Public Gardens, Nampally.

The Chief guest will be Kadiyam Srihari Deputy Chief Minister, while guest of honor will be AK Khan DG Anti- Corruption TS.

Ustaad Dr, Madan Gopal Singh, a renowned Sufi singer from Punjab, Ustad Arshad Ali Khan ITC Sangeet Research Academy-Kolkata would perform along with leading local artistes.

In the Rang-e-Kushrau and Bahar-e-Khusrau at Chowmahalla Palace and central lawns opposite Jubilee Hall Public gardens respectively.

The third day programme is called Mehfil-e-Khusrau. It will be a Sama (Qawwali) programme at Dargah Hazrath Sahikji Hali RH in Urdu Shareef behind Pathargatti, Gulzar Houz, Hyderabad, on Monday, November 14.

The fourth day’s programme , Suqan-e-Khusrau (Mushaira) will be at Sama Khana Dargha Hazrath Shaik Ji Hali Ra, Urdu Shareef, Charkaman from 8pm onwards.
