​Peddapalli: TSRTC chairman Somarapu Satyanarayana emphasised the need for filling vacant medical officer posts through outsourcing.

Speaking at the District Development Review Committee (DDRC) meeting here on Tuesday, he told the officials to provide as much work as possible to labourers under employment guarantee scheme, besides completing Aadhaar seeding of the workers. He instructed the officials to focus on Mission Bhagiratha works.

Telangana State Irrigation Development Corporation Chairman Eada Shankar Reddy told the officials to ensure irrigation facility to even tail-end cultivators.

He stressed the need for protecting saplings planted under Haritha Haram programme. He sought coordination between Panchayat Raj and R&B departments so that the purpose of plantation of saplings is served.

District Collector VS Alagu Varshini said efforts were on to fill medical officer posts in all State-run hospitals in the district.

A lot of emphasis was also on to improve health facilities in the region, she said. She sought cooperation of all departmental heads to develop the district.

MLC Bhanuprasad Rao, Peddapalli MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy and Manthani MLA Putta Madhu also spoke. Joint Collector S Prabhakar Reddy, DCP Vijayendra Reddy and RDO Ashok Kumar were among others present.
