Dargah pontiff presents cow to MLA

Hanamkonda: Highlighting the importance of protection of cows, the Sajjada Nasheen (pontiff) of historic Hazrat Sayed Shah Afzal Biabani Dargah in Kazipet, Kushroo Pasha has presented a cow to Warangal (West) MLA D Vinay Bhasker.

The pontiff presented the cow to the MLA during all-religion prayer meeting held at Balasamudram in Hanamkonda on Wednesday. The prayer meeting was organised by Vinay Bhasker on the land, where the MLA’s camp would be coming up soon.

The MLA, a couple of days ago, has organised a massive Gayatri Homam, followed by all religion prayer meeting in order to sanctify the place before the commencement of construction.

The prayer meeting was attended by main priest of historic Bhadrakali Temple B Sheshagiri Rao, Warangal Roman Catholic diocese Bishop Udumala Bala, along with several priests from Sikh, Hindu, Muslim and Christian communities.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vinay Bhasker expressed pleasure at the gifting of cow by the dargah chief Kushroo Pasha.

“It is significant and a good omen in many ways and highlights the communal harmony prevailing in Warangal. I thankful to the pontiff for his kind gesture,” he said.
