KU V-C asks dept heads to get ready for NAAC team visit

Hanamkonda: Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Prof R Sayanna has appealed the heads of all departments in the university to get ready for the visit of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to the university.

The NAAC team was likely visit in the month of March or April to assess the university functioning. Hence every department should make efforts to retain the A grade granted to the university in the past, the V-C said.

Prof Sayanna has on Monday held a meeting with the heads of the departments at his chambers on the university campus to prepare the departments for the visit of the NAAC team. He wanted the department heads to prepare the details of their activities for the past five years like MoUs signed, faculty bio-data, teaching diaries, CSIR activities and others.

Meetings with former students should be conducted and every department should be equipped with wi-fi connectivity. Power point presentations should be prepared to present before the NAAC team and the data should uploaded into the university web-site, he suggested.

The V-C explained the rules and regulations that should be followed for a better grade from the NAAC.The university Registrar Prof MV Ranga Rao, IQAC Director Prof P Krishnamachary, NAAC committee member Prof Gopikrishna, principals of different university colleges were present.
