City-based Citizens Specialty Hospital launched an emergency care response initiative ‘E-ONE’ on Tuesday.
The emergency programme involving clinical teams and lifesaving techniques is equipped to manage a patient by facilitating an ICU ambulance. It was unveiled by flagging off one of the ambulances at the hospital’s campus in Nallagandla by Cyberabad Police Commissioner, Sandeep Shandilya.
Sharing details of the initiative, Nilesh Gupta, Facility Director at Citizens Specialty Hospital, said, “E-one ambulances are manned by trained EMTs besides being equipped with a technology called “Tele-medicine” that transmits a patient’s vital parameters to command centre in the Emergency department at the hospital.
This enables the EMT to start the treatment process while being in the ambulance itself.”
Dr Ravi Kiran, Medical Superintendent, Citizens Specialty Hospital added, “This is an advanced emergency support programme that gives treatment within the shortest possible time.”
“The guidance from the command centre saves precious time and in turn lives. Our hospital’s team of specialists that includes cardiologists, paediatricians, gynaecologists and anaesthetists in turn takes over to provide specialised treatments once they reach the hospital.
The emergency care unit is also supported round-the-clock by other important support systems such as a 24X7 blood bank and diagnostics services,” he added.
