Jagtial: Scholars from across the State discussed various linguistic, historical, political, heritage and cultural aspects of the State at the one-day seminar, conducted by the Department of Social Sciences, Government Degree and PG College for Women (Urdu Medium) in Jagtial on Tuesday.

About 25 research papers were presented by scholars and research students from across the State. The College Principal, Dr K Kishan, presided over the seminar, while Jagtial Municipal Council chief Vijaya Laxmi was the chief guest.

Journalist and scholar Khalid Mulla from Hyderabad spoke on the impact of Urdu language on other south Indian languages and vice-versa. Convener of the seminar and college development committee member Khan Zia and others spoke.
