The herald of spring

Spring is the season of renewed hope and festivities and evokes the aura of romanticism. And, to celebrate this, vocalists Barnali and Lahari have conducted ‘Basanta Utsav’ recently at Lamakaan.

They rendered a bouquet of spring ragas along with semi-classical and Tagore songs, dance and poetry, wherein the compositions explored the mood of love and splendour of Basanta.

A similar programme was also conducted at Phoenix Arena on Sunday.
