Nalgonda: Nehru Yuva Kendra national working president and BJP leader Perala Chandrashekar accused the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of diverting Central funds to other schemes for kickbacks. Addressing media at party district office in Nalgonda on Tuesday, Perala alleged that the state government was neglecting education and health sectors.

While majority of hospitals in the state were running sans basic facilities forcing poor to approach private hospitals for their medical needs, college students were left in lurch with government not releasing funds for fee dues and scholarships, he added.

He informed that BJP national president Amit Shah would tour the state from April 6 to 14, to motivate party cadre and prepare them for 2019 polls.

Asking the leaders to work towards strengthening the party, he advised them to plan different protest programmes against state government’s anti-people policies and pending poll promises.

BJP district president N Narsimha Reddy, leaders V Chandrashekar, B Papaiah, P Sambaiah, R Srinivas Reddy and others attended the press meet.

Later, Perala took part in a meeting jointly conducted by NYK district unit and district youth associations at town hall in Nalgonda. Addressing the gathering, he said youth was the backbone of the nation and advised them to contribute for the society’s good.

On the occasion, he distributed certificates to women who completed four months tailoring course conducted by NYK at various training centres, and sports kits to 25 youth associations in the district.

As part of the programme, Perala along with Padma Shri awadree Daripalli Vanajeevi Ramaiah administered pledge on conservation of water and protection of trees to youth.
