However, some employees have returned the pension amounts to the administration, after receiving notices from officials based on the Aadhaar numbers of the beneficiaries. Officials have confirmed the swindling.

Top officials who have taken up social security checks to detect the fraud are shocked by the fraud. They attribute the cheating, because of which several ineligible persons managed to secure pensions, to mistakes committed by the lower level staff. These staffers have already been served notices.

Project Director of DRDA Chandramohan Reddy speaking to The Hans India here on Friday said that so far Rs.15,19,500 have been recovered from 105 employees. Among them 23 are from Bhiknur mandal who repaid Rs.305,300.

In Bichkunda mandal, none of the 48 employees who swindled Rs.56,06,000 paid back, 37 in Birkur mandal who failed to repay Rs.404,700, as also 59 in Domakonda mandal who owe Rs.608,500.

In Gandhari mandal, none of the 32 employees repaid Rs.341,500, 27 in Jukkal failed to pay back Rs.2.5 lakh and none of the 29 government staffers handed back Rs.2.74 lakh.

Of the 52 employees in Machareddy who drew Rs.747,500 only two repaid Rs.22,000 while in Kamareddy mandal of the 22 employees seven repaid Rs.74,000.In Kamareddy town of the 187 employees who collected Rs.17,69,000, as many as 42 handed back Rs.349,500.
