Nizamabad: Chairman of the SSR Degree College Maraiah Goud urged the students of the Gowd community to actively participate in politics and also in the educational and medical fields.

Participating in the Pratibha Puraskar-2017 awards giving ceremony to the meritorious students of the Goud community at the New Ambedkar Bhawan in the city on Tuesday, he said that they should add Goud as their last name to strengthen their community and make it more influential.

Awards were also given away to the students who scored 10/10 GPA in the SSC examinations, intermediate and EAMCET entrance exams.

Maraiah Goud expressed the hope that the poor and the backward people among the Goud community would grow financially. The Gopa Gold Association would always stand by them and extend support, he assured.

He said that the members of the Goud community should become a role model to other communities to emulate. Vignan school chairman and members of the Gopa Gold Association and others were present on the occasion.
