He also said about 250 CCTV cameras were installed at various important locations across the city linking them to the command control room. The footage will be monitored day and night to respond immediately to even minor incidents if occurs on the occasion of Ganesh immersion and Bakrid festival.

Instructions were given to the organisers of Ganesh pandals to start the procession in the afternoon to complete the immersion process as early as possible and to prevent any untoward incidents.

The Commissioner also said that perfect steps were taken to prevent cow slaughter on the occasion of Bakrid festival passing the orders to all the Khazis of about 64 masjids present in the city.

Kamalasan Reddy held a meeting with the priests at Late Umesh Chandra conference hall here on the day and directed them to start the puja on the immersion day as early as possible so that the organisers of the Ganesh pandals will start for immersion process quickly. He urged them to cooperate to conduct the immersion process peacefully.

Assistant Commissioner of Police J Rama Rao, Inspectors Tula Srinivas Rao and Vijay Kumar, Reserve Inspector Gangadhar, Sub-Inspector Surendar, priests Maheshwara Sharma, Nemalikonda Ramanacharyulu, Rajeshwar Sharma and Mangalampalli Srinivasa Sharma were present along with others.
