Hyderabad: Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA) Interschool Debate Competition was organised for the second consecutive year. It was hosted by 1 EME Centre at MCEME Auditorium on monday. The event was presided over by Brigadier Sandeep Bhalla, Commandant and 1EME Centre. Other guests included Brigadier V V Reddy, Principals of all TASA Schools, eminent educationists, teachers and students.

TASA aims to promote education with a holistic approach and develops multifaceted individuals, through its educational institutions. Interschool Debate Competition is an annual feature, which aims to nurture the current generation of budding speakers and skilled sculptors of words, to exhibit their views, ideas, thoughts, and opinions for a better present and a brighter future.

Army Public Schools Bolarum, RK Puram, Golconda along with Sainik School Kalikiri and Kendriya Vidyalayas Trimulgherry, Bolarum, Mehdipatnam and Golconda participated in the battle of words. The students enthusiastically participated and put forth their views by speaking for and against the topic ‘An hour of glorious life is worth an age without name’.

The team from Army Public School Bolarum bagged the first position and Army Public School RK Puram stood second. Rupa Bhalla wife of Brigadier Sandeep Bhalla gave away the trophies to the winner and the runner up team. The Chief Guest of the function Brigadier Sandeep Bhalla, Commandant, 1EME Centre felicitated the winners and congratulated all the students for their excellent performance and said, ‘The exquisite and remarkable standard of the debate, which has encroached the mind of every student, will remain a great learning experience’.
