There would always be a few that have escaped these death traps. Every time there seem to be a question that why one gets bitten by mosquitoes more than others and if it is just in our minds or real. Well it is very real and here are the reasons why one is more prone to mosquito bites than others.

Clothing colour- Yes, Mosquitoes are selecting about the fashion! They are likely to spot you as a target if you stand out from your environment by wearning colours that stand out.

Movement- Similarly the more you move, the easier you are identified as a living, breathing, vessel full of delicious blood.

Body heat- Even though visual appearances attract the mosquitoes to you from far, it is the heat that draws it towards you. This puts pregnant women, who are warmer than others at risk.

Carbon dioxide- This is another reason that puts pregnant women at risk as they are said to exhale more CO2 than others. Mosquitoes can detect CO2 from 164 feet away.

Alcohol intake- Although it is still unclear how mosquitoes detect alcohol, it is proved that it attracts them.

Blood type- It is said that the rare blood type ’O’ attracts more mosquitoes than type ‘B’ or type ‘A’. This is just another factor which you can’t control.
