The multi-lingual theater festival of South India, Abhinaya National Theatre festival is ready to entertain the Hyderabadi theatre lovers with its 8th edition. Four different theatre groups are coming from all over the country along with some theatre groups from the state. The four-day festival is going to start with a Kannada play ‘Kinnudiya Belakalli’ directed by Ramakrishna Beltur and scripted by Dr M Byregowda from the theatre group KS Muddappa Smaraka Trust, Bengaluru.

A tribal theatre group named Maidi's Artist Association of Tribal Jamshedpur is coming all the way from Jharkhand to stage their Hindi production ‘Fevicol’ that was written and directed by Jeetrai Hansda on the second day. The Assamese play director Asim Kumat Nath is staging his play ‘Dusmanta: The liar’ inspired by Kalidas’s Abhijnanashakuntala and Bengali writer Sunil Gangopadhyay's novel Aranyer Din Ratri and renowned Manipuri director Ningthouja Deepak will present his play ‘Lament of a widow’ in Manipuri language.

Apart from these stage plays, audiences can enjoy various Telugu street plays performed by Vizainagaram, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad artists.
