Call for universal brotherhood

All religions preach brotherhood and human beings across the world are brothers irrespective of the religion they belong to. This was the message that was prominent at the Jashna-E-Eid-Milap organized by Hamara Hindustan at a hotel in the city on Tuesday. Eminent American scholar Kareem Irfan called for tolerance and brotherhood. Quoting from the Quran, Kareem Irfan said that the cause for restlessness in the world is due to the growing distance between civil societies.


Referring to various religions he said peace is only possible if the believer of these religions adhere to the teachings of their religion. Manuscripts of Quran presented by the Urdu Daily Siasat.


Prominent citizens of the city belonging to different walks of life attended the eid milap. Nadendla Manohar, speaker of Assembly BJP President Kishan Reddy, Bandaru Dattatreya, former union minister, A K Khan, MD, APSRTC, Anurag Sharma, City Police Commissioner, Former DGP’s HJ Dora, M V Bhaskar Rao, MV Krishna Rao, Mahboob Alam Khan, Babu Khan family, K Ramchandra Murthy Managing Director HMTV & The Hans India, Kingshuk Nag, Editor, Times of India, Zaheeruddin Ali Khan Managing Editor, Siasat, Amir Ali Khan Associate Editor Siasat were present. Sufi Singer Samita Glore regaled the audience with Sufi songs.
