A 27-year-old man died after the two-wheeler he was riding was hit by an autorickshaw at Amberpet Chowrasta on Thursday afternoon. According to Kalyan Kumar, SHO, Amberpet Police Station, the man was identified as Shivakumar from Govindnagar, Golnaka who along with his friend, Chaitanya (16), pillion rider, was going to watch a movie at Sri Ramana Theater in Amberpet when the accident occurred.
The rider had initially sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to the hospital but he died as he was undergoing treatment. Chaitanya who sustained injuries is undergoing treatment.
The dead body has been sent to Osmania General Hospital for postmortem. A case was registered under section 304-A (causing death by rash or negligent act) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
