I-Day honour for DCP Sudheer Babu

G Sudheer Babu, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad Traffic Police (HTP), is one among the proud recipients of the Indian Police Medal. He received the medal for his outstanding services in the police department at the Independence Day celebrations held at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, on Thursday.

G Sudheer Babu belongs to the 2001 batch and has done his M A from Jawaharlal Nehru University (popularly known as JNU). He is fluent in Telugu, Hindi and English and has held various positions in Andhra Pradesh in different capacities like DCP of West Zone for a brief period before moving to the present assignment as DCP Traffic I, Hyderabad Traffic Police.

On receiving the medal, in a conversation with Hyderabad Hans, he said that it was an honour and privilege to get the IPM (Indian Police Medal) for his distinguished and meritorious service in the police department. He hoped this would encourage and motivate other officers to perform better and strive towards the service of the people for which they had dedicated their lives. He said that these awards not only encouraged and motivated the individuals, but also inspired others to perform their duties with pride and honour.
