U2 ‘elevates’ 2win cities

U2, since its inception in 1976, constantly renewed itself. So much so, in the year 2000, they even began reworking their sound so they could ‘reapply for the job ... [of] the best band in the world’. Hailing from the shores of Liverpool, Elevation has been wooing audiences with the U2 Experience since 2002. The city proved that it is a hotspot for international bands and artistes as the Liverpool band churned out numbers one after the other. This tribute band has been touring the country since September 11 and will conclude on October 6.

Elevation is truly a tribute band whose music is simply magnificent and calls for a true moment of surrender. Having shared the neon lights worldwide, from Vancouver to Montreal to Halifax, New York, Venice, Sarajevo, Dominican Republic and beyond, Elevation performances are something that one just can’t leave behind. And Hyderabadis was elated to be mesmerised by their sounds.

“U2 is not just a band. It’s a name that is synonymous with epic eras in music,” believes Girish Patil, AGM-Marketing, Pernod Ricard India. Speaking on the Tribute, he says, “U2 has a sound and thought that is unique and all their own. Seagram’s 100 Pipers pays a tribute to them through Elevation, who are touring India for the very first time. We are excited.”

While ‘Elevation’ began locally, the world was soon initiated into the taste of their raw passion for music and their academic attention to musical detail. Both, music lovers and connoisseurs, realised that Elevation had the most authentic sights and sounds of U2. The band membersconsist of Stuart (Bono), an accomplished musician and song writer with great vocal talent, Alan (The Edge), a guitarist par excellence who has worked with some of the biggest names in the music circuit, Tony (Adam) a bass player and song writer who also now runs his own musical production company Catapult Enterprises and Mark (Larry) whose illustrious music career has seen him signed up with some of the biggest record labels. Every tribute performance of theirs, no matter where in the world, enthuses their audiences with that unforgettable fire.

Elevation have the rest of 2013 already charted out with gigs in the UK and a spring tour next year.
