Musical salute to the September Stars

The month September has a special significance for Indian cinema. It happens to be a month in which many legends and celebrities who have enriched the world of cinema were born. From the Telugu cinema world, no less greats than ANR, Bhanumati and PB Srinivas and from Hindi cinema, the likes of Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Devanand and Amitabh Bachchan were born in this month.

Chintalapati Suresh of Sri Bharathi Music Academy and T Ravi Kumari of Kakinada Musical Group joined hands in an endeavour to pay their respect to all these stalwart actors and singers. It was a good platform for talented singers to showcase their singing prowess before music loving audience at an event held at NTR Kala Pranganam in Telugu University. Titled ‘Cine Sangeetha Vibhavari’, the event was presided over by 'Prasara Kalapraveena' Dr Oleti Parvateesam. The other special guests included GSJ Kumar, Founder, Kakinada Musical Group, Eluri Siva Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Telugu University, Madhavapeddi Suresh, Music Director, Gundu Hanumanta Rao, actor and YK Nageswara Rao of Yuva Kalavahini. The organisers took the opportunity to congratulate and felicitate the young singer, Bhuvana Kriti who had attended the All India Music Competition, Sur Sangeet and won the second prize.
