Loyola Academy won a close battle to triumph in the Osmania University Inter-College Handball Tournament-2013-14 at Lal Bahadur Stadium on Wednesday. The event was organised by A V College in Domalguda.
The titlist was tested to the fullest by a determined Bhavan’s Sainikpuri before prevailing in the final 22-18. The host finished third after defeating Avanthi College 14-13 in a thrilling play-off match.
Meanwhile, Loyola posted a fluent 25-17 win over A V College in the semifinals.
Later, Dr M Bhagwant, Principal of the college gave away the prizes.
